Five Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Delta Community

The combine crack team of security agents attached Delta State Police Command, have arrested five suspected kidnappers in a hotel raid located in Ewu-Urhobo community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learned that the crack team stormed the hotel in the community to fish out the criminals from their hideout after multiple operations and kidnapping activities.
A security source who spoke on the breakthrough disclosed that the suspects, Dominic Uweru, Isaac Oghenerukevwe, Oviri Godstime, Junior Sunday, and Efedeki Adjovo were arrested and a Honda Accord car with registration number, UGH-721-FQ, was recoverd.
Other items recoverd from the suspects are, one long single barrel gun, a locally made cut to size gun, two locally made pistols, a live cartridge, an expanded cartridge, a wrap of weed suspected to be Indian hemp, one moniepoint Pos machine, an Opay Pos machine and a sum N450,000.
According to the source, “Acting on an intelligence, our crack squad stormed a brothel and criminal hide out in Ewu town, in Ughelli South and upon serious searching, five person were arrested for kidnapping.
The suspects are, Dominic Uweru “M” alias Ovwolo aged 48, Isaac Oghenerukevwe “M’ alias Plug, aged 34, Oviri Godstime “M” aged 25, Junior Sunday “M” and Efedeki Adjovo who age could not be confirmed.
The suspects upon interrogation confessed to have robbed and kidnapped a 70yrs woman on September 8, collected the ransom of N7.9m on September 10,2024 before she was released.
When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Edafe Bright,who did not give details confirmed the incident and said, “Confirmed sir, investigation is ongoing”.
